Should You Get Aftermarket Upper Control Arms (UCAs)?

When lifting your vehicle, aftermarket UCAs might be necessary depending on the height of the lift:

  • Less than 2 Inches - Optional
  • 2 inches Lift Kits - Recommended
  • For 2.5 inches+ Lift Kits - Strongly Recommended
  • If you keep factory UCAs after a lift, you might encounter the following problems:

  • Alignment Issues: Poor camber and caster adjustments.
  • Strut Clearance Problems: Risk of strut contact and damage.
  • Tire Clearance Limits: Tire rubbing against the fender.
  • Off-Road Stress: Premature wear under heavy loads.
  • Switch to aftermarket UCAs for:

    • Improved Alignment: Get better camber and caster adjustments.
    • Enhanced Clearance: Avoid contact and potential damage.
    • Better Tire Fit: Prevents rubbing with larger tires.
    • More Travel/Articulation: Greater wheel movement for improved performance.
Increased Durability: Handles heavy off-road conditions reliably.
